Mavic extends success on the track in Beijing

The 2012 UCI Track World Cup continued in Beijing during the weekend of January 12-15. This 3rd round proved to be successful for Mavic-sponsored riders, who brought home a total of 17 medals, including 6 gold medals.

 

In the men’s individual sprint, Charlie Concord of France and Lei Zhang of China finished first and second, taking the top steps on the podium for Mavic. In the women’s individual sprint, China’s Shuang Guo secured victory with Lin Junhong in third.

 

Other race highlights:

  • Mavic riders winning both the men’s and women’s Keirin (Francois Pervis for France in the men’s event and China’s Shuang Guo in the women’s race).
  • Mavic riders Glenn O’Shea (AUS), Bryan Coquard (FRA), and Nikias Arndt (ALL) sweeping the podium in the men’s omnium.
  • The Chinese women’s team winning the team sprint, with the men’s team taking second.
